If the room is still too dark you have another option. You can install compact fluorescent bulbs into the fixture. Since compacts use much less energy than standard bulbs you can upsize the compact to get even more light out of the fixture.

Type of Light: Every type of light has a different color to it.  Fluorescent bulbs have a greenish hue to them. They’re great for general lighting but can throw off the color of the room. To counter this you can find bulbs that emit a more natural light.  You can find more natural light options at a hardware store or even a nursery that has grow lamps for their plants.

Style, brightness and the type of light are the three biggest considerations when you are deciding what to look for when buying bathroom lighting. Just look for the style that fits your bathroom, a unit that gives off plenty of light and if you’re so inclined a more natural tone.
