The pictures pop out, so it’s not comfortable for the baby to sit on it. But it provides excellent “traction control” for those kids learning to take shower.

I recently bought the princess mat for my 11 month old. She absolutely loves it and squealed with delight when she saw it. I haven’t yet experienced the pictures peeling off, though I will keep an eye out for that problem.
I was surprised to see that the pictures are raised. I was afraid they would be uncomfortable for my daughter to sit on (I figured they would leave little princess imprints on her backside), but it doesn’t seem to bother her one bit. Of course, she likes to move around a lot in the bathtub which means she’s never sitting in one place for very long.
I have to say I really like that there are so many suction cups on the bottom of the mat. Many other mats out there have larger (and fewer) suction cups. With so many suction cups on this mat, it stays in place very well. I haven’t had any problems with slippage.
